Welcome! I’m Carrie, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I began quilting as a college student, and I never would have imagined what that first quilt, pieced in my dorm room and tie-quilted on my parents’ living room floor over winter break, would turn into!
Since that time, I’ve made many quilts using all kinds of techniques (and with all kinds of results!). I’ve gifted them, donated them, hoarded them a little (How many quilts stacked at the foot of a bed is too many?), and shared them. I’ve met wonderful quilters all over the world who I’ve learned from and alongside, and I’ve helped others learn to quilt and try new things, as well!
Quilting has become my happy place, a skill and practice that works both my creativity and my logic.
I believe there is no right or wrong way to be a quilter and that every quilter continues to learn and grow with each new quilt made — and I believe there are no limits to what a quilter can accomplish!
